This month we’ve welcomed a number of new Letz Live Camp Assistants to begin their Gap Year journey in the UK!
With varying start dates, the orientations have been held since the beginning of March. Participants arrived in London before making their way to the hotel to meet the others on the programme.
Day 1 was spent shopping at Kingston-upon-Thames for all of our groups. While some visited Windsor on Day 2, and others had a trip to central London.
They had a great time getting to know each other and exploring the sights and sounds of their new home, the UK.
On Day 3 participants headed to their placements. Here, they will complete the necessary training to begin their roles working in the outdoor education centres.
The UK Camp Assistant programme is new for 2022, giving Letz Live gappies a alternative Gap Year programme to choose from. These positions begin in March/April and are a 6-8 month programme.
Working in an outdoor education centre, these group leader/ assistant roles are exciting and varied. Participants may be facilitating activities, coordinating groups or leading sports. Accommodation and meals are provided, as well as a monthly salary. This is a great way to experience life in the UK, gain valuable work experience whilst earning money.
More information about working as a UK Camp Assistant can be found on our website here.
We hope all of our Camp Assistant participants have the most amazing year and we can wait to see their adventures.
