Our July intake for Gap Years in Australia has been a huge success and Australian Gap Years are back. We’ve welcomed new participants arriving over the past two weeks to begin their programme.
Letz Live gappies from the UK, US, South Africa, Colombia and the Netherlands, landed in Brisbane to begin their orientation.
Orientation on the Gold Coast
Staying on the Gold Coast for two nights, the first stop was the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. Here they met some furry Aussie friends! Our groups had a great time saying hello to the locals who always give a warm welcome to the land down under.
Following this, our groups headed back to the hotel to get ready for dinner in Surfers Paradise.
On Day 2, they walked around Surfers Paradise – snapping a picture with the iconic sign. Afterwards, completing their Gap Year training at the hotel.
Gap Assistant Training
For every programme in Australia and New Zealand, this is run by our partners at the Australian Boarding Schools Association. The training is essential for learning the ‘ins and outs’ of being a Gap Assistant. This ensures our participants are given the best preparation possible before heading to their school placements.
Following the training, they enjoyed a barbecue buffet dinner at the hotel. This dinner is a great time to spend getting to know everyone on the programme.
Arriving at placement schools
Finally, on Day 3, it’s time to say goodbye to new friends. Participants head off to their school placements but can all catch up during the school holidays.
This is such an exciting time for Letz Live participants as they gear up for what will be an adventure of a lifetime.
Australian Gap Years are back!
The Letz Live team are on hand throughout the whole journey to help with coming to Australia. This specifically includes getting set up (sim cards, bank accounts) and we can even help arrange travel plans during your Gap Year.
