How Much?

Letz Live is a student-friendly organisation that understands the importance of offering a service that provides our clients with a value-for-money experience. By partaking a Letz Live Gap placement, you will also benefit from our own personal experience as Gap assistants and enjoy the discounts with various organisation that make the cost of your once-in-a-lifetime experience all the more affordable! 

At the final stage of your online application, you will be invited to finalise your ‘Preparation fee’ of £65.00. This Preparation fee is a one off non-refundable payment and is payable by credit card only. This covers the high costs of processing your application and contributes towards your interview with the Letz Live recruitment team. Interviews are usually held at a mutually convenient location or via Skype / telephone following the application closing date.

Should your application be successful, and you are offered a placement abroad with Letz Live, a ‘Participation fee’ of £1499.00* will be charged upon confirmation of your placement. To indicate to us that you are prepared to undertake a Gap placement, you will need to sign an agreement between yourself, Letz Live and the relevant school.

The Letz Live ‘Participation Fee’ is inclusive of the following;

 

  • Your placement at a leading boarding school - including accommodation, food and allowance;
  • Visa and entry clearances;
  • Two nights in-country orientation upon arrival (including airport transfer, all breakfasts and arrival dinner);
  • Escorted travel with the Letz Live crew**;
  • 15% off comprehensive travel insurance***;
  • Sim card (so Mum & Dad can contact you the moment you arrive);
  • Worldwide Youth Hostel membership;
  • Discounted holiday and tour itineraries;
  • 24 / 7 global support from our Australasian, British and North American based crew;
  • Pre-departure information sessions;
  • Lonely Planet Country Guide;
  • Discounted shipping (for your return journey);
  • Certificate of Completion upon the successful completion of your Gap contract.

 

We don't believe in charging you extra, unnecessary fees for certain things that you may be able to find cheaper. Therefore, we should highlight that your Participation Fee does not include;

  • Passport;
  • Return airfares (ranging from £300 to £1400);
  • Comprehensive travel insurance (remember you get a 15% discount when booking with Letz Live);
  • Travel from orientation to your school (some schools will pay this for you);
  • Lunches and one dinner during orientation (for dinner we find most Gappies prefer to sleep because of jetlag);

 

Just so you know:

* Your Participation Fee is due 14 days after the Gap agreements have been issued and payable by credit card;
**Letz Live current offer escorted travel to Australia (January & July), China (February & September), Singapore (August), Thailand (August). New Zealand bound Gaps travel to Australia before connecting to New Zealand;
*** Travel insurance discount is only applicable to those partaking a gap year in Australia.
