After graduating from All Saints Anglican School, Nick decided to put his plans of studying physiotherapy on hold and travel to England where he lived and worked as a GAP assistant. During his time working in a coeducational senior boarding school, Nick became acutely aware of the position entrusted to GAP assistants' and the roles that may be entrusted to them.

In the few years after his return to Australia Nick successfully graduated from his university studies with a Bachelor of Business and Diploma of Commerce from the world renown Griffith University Business School. It was during his time at university Nick decided to establish Letz Live.
Nick had assisted numerous secondary school graduates attain GAP placements throughout the United Kingdom prior to establishing Letz Live. The personal experiences gained from a GAP year allows Nick to relate to prospective GAP assistants and assist them with the challenges of their year abroad.

Mr Mark Cooper

Mark is currently on the Senior Management Team of Thomas Adams School in Shropshire where his specific role is ‘Director of Specialism’. For seven years, Mark was Senior Houseparent at Adams House, the boarding house for the school, where he had first hand experience in dealing the GAP assistants. In fact, it was here that Mark met Nicholas Hare and the team of GAPs who, during their year in England made Mark realise what a valuable contribution GAP assistants can make and how important placing them in the correct school can be.

Mark joins Letz Live as our United Kingdom representative. Mark will act as a mentor, advisor and motivator to our United Kingdom based GAPs whilst also lending his expertise to the recruitment of Australian bound GAP assistants.

Brigadier George Mansford AM (Ret)

George Mansford served for forty years in the armed services, twenty of these in the Battalions of The Royal Australian Regiment. His military service included Korea, Malaya and Vietnam. He is the immediate past chairman of the Australian Rainforest Foundation and has authored, and lectured widely throughout Australia.

His publication, The Mad Galahs, was a best seller and such is the respect in which he is held that a building at Australia’s national Military College ‘Duntroon’ bears his name.

He was awarded the Order of Australia for his services to the community, following cyclones Tracey and Althea. George has been a past board member of Wet Tropics Management Authority and has been awarded many honours for his services to local communities.

Dr Lesley Robinson

Lesley has travelled widely both privately and as a medical practitioner. Her work with the local community extends well beyond her role as a General Practitioner. She is involved in many religious, community and youth undertakings and is a member of a schools board which is widely known for the calibre of its GAP students.

Lesley has been involved with Letz Live since its inauguration. As a mother of a past GAP student, Lesley understands the commitments entrusted to GAP students.

Mr Andrew Bowden B.App. Sc. Optom (Hons)

Andrew joined Letz Live in 2006 bringing with him valuable experience in the recruitment of young Australians. Andrew is a senior partner in one of Australia’s largest privately owned optometry practices.

In fourteen years of clinical practice, Andrew has extensive experience in interacting with secondary school leavers as patients, and regularly advises on the influence of their vision on possible career directions. He has also acted as a clinical supervisor in the Queensland University of Technology Optometry Clinic. Andrew acts as a clinical consultant to the optical industry in the development of new products.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Optometry) (Honours) from QUT, and post-graduate qualifications in business management, including specialised education in Human Resources practices. Among his many management duties, Andrew oversees the HR functions in his optometry group.
