It's clean, has beautiful weather and is centrally located – what more could you want from a Gap year location? Singapore, the tiny country with a big heart has it all. A mix of traditional Singaporean, Indian, Malay and Chinese cultures collide with the Western influences that create a buzzing city / country more commonly referred to as the gateway to South East Asia.
Whilst living in Singapore can be regarded as expensive in comparison to its Asian neighbours, you will be living and working in international boarding schools that will absorb the costs of your accommodation, lodgings and food during term time allowing you to immerse yourself into the happenings of the Lion City. The roles assigned to Gap assistants will have you assisting academic staff whilst offering your expertise in a number of co-curricular aspects of the school community including the performing arts and various sporting activities.
During holiday time, our Gap assistants utilize the ‘gateway’ by visiting other Letz Live Gap assistants placed throughout Asia – some have even ventured to the United Kingdom / Europe for extended breaks and linked up with Letz Live Gap assistants placed there – ultimately, the decision is yours!
